Question:

Once scanned, my bubbles have shifted outside of the bounds of the fragment areas (the red rectangles), what can I do to fix this so my bubbles will detect?

Most problems like this can be solved by increasing the publication's fragment size from 1 to 2 (or 3 if required). To do this:

  1. In the form (frf) file, go to recognition preview and on the left, type in 2 for the fragment size. Click apply, then save the frf file.

  2. For adjusting a publication, go to captured data, click on the name of the publication you wish to update, click on settings on the left hand side of the screen, adjust the fragment padding to 2 in the settings, click the update button, re-upload a scan of the image and check that it worked properly.

WHAT TO DO IF ROTATION (SKEW) IS AN ISSUE:

  1. Adjust the deskew threshold to 0.01 for both the form and the publication in the same places as mentioned above. This will make the program automatically rotate the form to the correct angle before detection commences.

If you have a problem like this, raise a ticket and attach your frf and scanned images so we can confirm that increasing the fragment padding will help you.
